Care when no one cares...has a meaning.

There are people you may be genuinely concerned from the bottom of your hearts. But they may never take you seriously for all the reasons that the world has to offer. That, notwithstanding the fact that each human has free will and thus the freedom to do what he or she chooses to do.
However, that may not necessarily be the best thing for them to do about themselves. Just like when kids don't listen to their parents, they may be reprimanded for the same. This may not be the best modus operandi of convincing someone, instead, its a coercion by the fear of force. Independence of decision making is vital to all human beings, but at times, its not a bad idea to trust someone's suggested course of action than one's own. Be it, the domain expertise or just the faith in someone, certain things can actually stop us from failing ourselves from our own decisions.

There are innumerable examples from History where great conquerors of the order of Alexander, Adolf Hitler and Bonaparte himself took a course of action borne out of what they felt was correct, which in the end went terribly wrong. Their ignorance of the suggestions of their comrades and top advisors meant nothing more than mere discouraging discourses.

So what exactly can one do if one sees someone who one loves and cares for in that same situation.

Its simple. Tell them what you feel and why you feel what you feel. But this is the next step after a degree of self analysis of the conceived course of action prior to suggestion. This is strongly recommended step since the degree of emotional bias as well as impulsive action and decision can sink ships and lose battles besides nations. At a micro level, relationships.

And if the person doesnt take you seriously, then..?

Simpler. Let them take their desired course of action. You did your bit and gave your opinion. Your job ends then and there. Even if you know that the person you love and care for is about to jeopardize everything he or she has, you simply cannot command another human being to do something that he or she is not obliged to do.
Once you have conveyed what you felt is the truth, then you have done your job well and carried out the responsibility that the 'System' gave you. For even if that person meets his or her end in not taking your thoughts seriously, you did what you could at its best by forewarning. Your job is done when you communicate something the other person may not adhere to. All the harm that comes to this person is not a function of a crisis management group from heaven, but solely the person who did what he shouldnt have.

We all are signalled for something good and evil. We then make a choice based on our intuitive ability, provided we have developed it over a period of time. In the suffering of the other person, there is always an attempt to rescue in which only 1 of 100 escape. Rest are consumed in the fire of Karma and destiny.

And then there is hope. Trusting and having faith in the 'System' makes a lot of sense minus the service charges actually. The learning that follows massive failure has its origins in small successes that become big ones in no time.

So if you love someone from the bottom of your heart and the person doesnt pay a heed, just sit back and relax. Their time for the hard learning of lessons from life has just begun.

Just make sure, you are there when there is no emergency support.

Best friends come handy when both our hands are gone...

Am I the one who I should be..?

Desires are endless so to say. And yet, some (freaked out!) souls do manage to find the greatest wealth of all. The wealth of self-satisfaction is something not much discussed or debated about in the modern competitive and recession prone world. As per the corporate criteria, if one is satisfied with what one does, his or her career is finished. The desire for improvement is practically non-existent, if one were to look at it with a TQM perspective. Also, constant betterment of the existing processes would come to a standstill, hence stagnating the socio-economic growth. To sum it all up, if you are satisfied with what you are doing currently, you are actually contributing to stagnation of overall growth and progress by not attempting to go to a higher plane. That is what the above logic sums things up to be.

But wait a minute.

Its not just about the career, its one's perception of one's own self which assumes far greater significance than any other aspect of life. How we perceive our present physical stature itselves has multiple implications. For instance, thanks to the modern icons of cinema in Hollywood as well as Bollywood, having a well chiselled physique, especially the abdomen, is a fab thing not just for males, but also female artists. Most women and men would desire a specific type of physical appearance. However, very few wise souls amongst females, seek core fitness which is not always a very visible trait, until proven when challenged (I have someone to thank on that, I hope the person has taken a note of the same.). So although someone may appear to be super fit, the core strength, stamina and immunity may actually be missing.

For instance, Saif Ali Khan Pataudi (paramour de Kareena Kapoor), although boasting of a 6-pack, was hospitalised for the third time due to intestinal infection, resulting from a weak digestive system. And then you have Saroj Khan and Farah Khan, who, although slightly obese in appearance, make the whole Bollywood dance to their tunes. The irony is, most people would still not know who they are, but do appreciate the work they do.

So while the world focussed way too much on packaging the product, the core functionality was lost somewhere down the line. What looks good, is an instant seller, until someone begins to voice the lacunae in the given object, service or a person. That's when the eye opening act happens and a wave of criticism is unleashed upon the 'good looking' thing.

And when they say for women, Bollywood again, as beauty decays with age, actresses grow old and fade away, except a selected few. However, male actors continue to be featured in multiple roles as time passes by. Physical beauty is something most women would aspire for, knowing it is not forever that one retains it. Some would like to compete with men, in every male dominated arena as if men were their sole competitors on the planet and the world would be so much better without men. (No...not endorsing lesbians...!)

Now someone is likely to ask, what has the concept of self worth got to do with all the arbitrary fact finding. I guess, everything. There is something that one aspires to be, but isnt. Some strive for it and a few succeed in getting there. Most arent willing to make the sacrifice for the same. However, one can always dream being what one wants to be.

The catch lies not in looking outside by benchmarking through other's opinion. The greatest guidance one receives about every aspect of one's life comes from within and not from an outside source, parents and lovers inclusive. Sometimes, mere visualisation brings the impossible dreams to life. And then if one carries the unfinished business from last life, things become even crystal clear. Not to mention, Extra sensory perception (ESP) is one such area of concern. But they all boil down to the same theory.
We all are here for a purpose and discovery of that purpose begins that road to self discovery. Knowing one's objective for being here on this jungle land is where this road begins. And it takes you through a path never travelled before, because each one has to build one's own unique path and chase the light to the end of the tunnel.
How we define and refine ourselves is a mathematical function of where we want to be at the end of our present life (provided its one's frame of reference). Some may accuse you of being a rebel, but anything unconventional will be challenged. The key is to find one's true self not in the heroes and legends but conceive the person who you see yourself becoming when you have fulfilled your most cherished dream in your mind's eye.
Find that person within .
(I guess....I just found Him a few seconds ago..)

On my way home...I was contemplating Relationship dynamics.

I missed writing in here last night. I wish I could have written something while I was in the Train. But I guess, it was way too crowded to even carry a laptop, put aside the thought of using one in there. Going back home for a single day in the week is something most people cannot digest. Besides, the cold war with folks has already come to an end. Coming back home is a refreshing break actually. A small town has the tranquility that cannot be felt in a Metropolitan city by any means.
Maybe the Cyborg-isation has already happened. There is an ongoing struggle everyday to maximize profits, generate value and gain competitive advantage in the Corporate world. This has its own cost. The people who, I thought as fitness icons, today exhibit visible signs of stress. Although I m not discouraged, but a little concerned about the bigger picture. Is this professional success worth the toll on one's health. Debatable indeed. Most need money to enjoy life. Greater the Monetary gain, more is the magnitude of worldly pleasures one can indulge in. But if you lose health in the process, all the luxuries and comforts exhibit their uselessness.
Unfortunately, a few of my very close friends and colleagues are facing a very similar situation. The greater sorrow is, they chose this life for themselves. Not that I have n't done my bit. But then, I really do not have a right to dictate what they do with their lives, be it their health or relationships that they have chosen. There is nothing we can do about the relations that we are born with.
The most I can do is pray, and speak my mind, provided they are willing to listen. Even the so called boyfriends/ girlfriends of some of my friends are more interested in having a good time, than having a lasting, happy and a healthy life. Financial status assumes greater significance as a guarantee for a relationship to last longer. Especially for the fairer sex, who seek security in a holistic manner, it matters more than anything else. And yet, relationships break, despite everything going right. Never been in one, so probably havent understood to that extent what would make things last.
This becomes all the more critical, when folks are chasing me to get married. Somehow, I realize, there is more to this ritual than just staying together for the rest of one's life. I guess its more to do with looking together in the same direction than looking at each other for the rest of the lives. A tough call, if one were to go by the book. And yet, there is some unlimited power hidden somewhere, in this little, not so obvious statement. People change their partners faster than one changes dresses in cases I have known. And then I have seen examples that defy laws of nature to see relationships that transcend one life into another. Matches made in heaven for real. I can't name them, since I promised them anonymity. But having seen it with my own eyes, and been through some bit of it my selves, I have no doubts.
The strength lies more in shared belief and values more than anything else. Something, both souls would treasure more than their lives would eventually take them into their next lives with the invisible bond intact. Just like the Parent key operation in the Database Management Systems. As seen in the Gods, the analogy is found in Human beings in not just one but many instances. A common ground for a common purpose is what makes a relationship last more than a lifetime and perhaps many lives, at least 7 as per Hindu, Buddhist and Jain thought.
I hope some of those who read this will get back to me with their perspectives...I have some more thoughts of the "not so normal kinds".

War on God

[ Slaying the fear of dying..

I ventured to conquer death..

Senses brough under subjugation..

I thus began to awaken..

Crossing the ocean of hatred..

On a boat of love..

In this stormy weather..

I set to burn a lamp of light..

In the desert of selfish will..

I set to create an orchard of sacrifice..

Since I couldnt find water..

I irrigated the land with my blood..

The Angels couldnt bear the sight of me..

A human challenging them..

They went complaining to God..

A mortal has been tormenting us..

So God asked me..

"why are you taking away my work.."

I said to God.."you live within me..

"So Why do u fight thee"

I saw the world suffering..

wanted to make your job easier..

I being an ordinary man..

How can I wage a war against God.. ]

The tables turn around...

When the hunted becomes the hunter..

and the hunter became the prey..

then raw courage surfaces out of fear..

the dead of the night awakens to an immortal's day..

The odds become uneven..

The butcher's blade ain't sharp..

The kill sees the light of freedom..

The lost hope comes out of the dark..

The defeated steps into the victor's kingdom..

And then conquers his homeland..

The moment of vengeance has come..

Along with the winds and shifting sands..

The Forces of Nature are but just..

The spirits of the wise strengthen the weak..

The steel that had once caught rust..

Is now a sword with a silver streak..

My cousin's concerned: Chinese are not happy with me

Fear is a great motivating force for many. It can drive a man to do impossible things. It can be the key to his survival. In fact it can drive him to do some of the greatest things in the history.

As far as I m concerned....not really.

My elder cousin expressed his opinion about my pro-active stance on Tibet. He fears that the Chinese would bombard J-xxx, sec xx Noida with Nodongs (The Paki call it Ghori...its a missile by the way..)as I had been rather vocal about my love for H.H.Dalai Lama and Tibetan freedom (not autonomy..!).

(The guy is about to get married and wouldn't want to die in a missile strike..!!)

Having been an activist for free Tibet ever since class 3 , it was when I made my first painting and won a prize for drawing a mountain and a free bird. Only then did I get to know, that there was more than freedom at stake there. My perception of the Chinese policy of playing checkers by occupying other's lands, claiming it as its own had been verified over and over.

I remember my grandmother, who I called amma, telling me stories about Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati putting up at Kailash Parvat. I heard an officer from the Int circles talking about Chinese trying to create an LP (Listening Post) there @ Mt Kailash. Funny, Lord Shiva's home is being encroached upon and there is nothing He can do about it. I wonder if Bal Thackeray is listening, especially after Raj punctured the Shiv Sena tyres in Maha elections.

When the Chinese tell the world that H.H. Dalai Lama is sabotaging its image around the world, somehow it may carry some weight. However, when he visits Arunachal, and the Chinese are upset, I m not amused.

I m reminded of the fact that the communists are of the faith where a God is practically non-existent. So all the Karmic principles go for a toss. Especially when its People's Republic of China, a Tiananmen square isn't enough of a Bad Karma, so we do a Tibet and then a Xinjiang and so on.

So what has Fear got to do with China in specific..?

Fear has been used as a tool to gain power. Pioneered by Genghis Khan, the legacy passed on to the Soviets and presently the People's Republic of China. Its an instrument to rule and subjugate.

However, for those who know the Truth, fear is an emotion that never was. Be it MK Gandhi or HH Dalai Lama, fear fails to deter a determined soul. When I relay my opinion of the Chinese oppression and incursions into the Indian territory, I have more than a personal reason.

I have a National and International reason to protest. And no missile, be it Nuclear tipped or Conventional, has the kind of firepower that can pierce the armor of a soul in the light of truth.
Even if it means a war of words or a war of worlds, Truth Triumphs Always.

(Everytime...!!)

The Book of Hymns..The Genesis.._-"

Despite having won many accolades at college and many articles being published in the newspaper, never had it ever occured, that I need to express myselves to the world out loud. However, the desire to read something written by someone... and being denied the same by the someone was more than just a provocation.
There was a massive change of perspective.
Why do I need to see what someone writes so desperately.? And why would someone not share it, and keep it with one's self.?
Maybe I should get a perspective on the same. Not withstanding the Law of Karma, "if somebody hurts me, and I hurt the person back" isnt the best thing in the world to do. An eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth would leave the world blind and toothless.
So the best thing to do is, if someone doesnt give you what you want, it doesnt mean you walk the same path.
It means you learn from them and make sure you do not hurt someone the way you were hurt.
It means you give the world the best that you have despite getting the worst from it.
It means there's a System out there that they call God, and you can help It make this world a better place in, no matter how small, contribution of yours.

Now the big question..?

Whats with the title "The Book of Hymns" ?
A song is not always a hymn. A hymn is a special song that is sung in a state of trust, faith and hope. Most Christians would think of them as parables praising the "System" using music and human voice. It is supposed to invigorate a sense of joy, happiness and tranquility in one's dispostion. But not always is music a pre-requisite for such an experience. The same can be experienced in the state of meditation.
A state of self-sacrifice for the greater good with no expectations and fearlessness.
A state of detachment, uncertainty and subtleity.
How the soul collects and synchronises the forces of nature is something that I had always explored. With this (ad)venture, I take a step further.
I just started to voice my soul's expressions on the Web.
When there is no fear, no anger, no hatred....
Power flows with ease.
If knowledge is Power, than wisdom is life.
The only thing in between is experience.
My experiences will be documented for a change.
:)
[ By the way, the name carries a major relevance... it speaks for itsleves. ]
